I’ve always loved books and writing, as a child reading offered me an escape onto another world and writing offered me the chance to explore my own. I dreamed of being a published author, my early teachers commented on my imagination abilities and growing up many people have expressed that I should write but other than my own personal writing and journaling until now this dream, like many others, has stayed buried.
In 2010 my life took a very surprising turn of events, l reached the necessary rock bottom needed to admit l had a problem and begin recovery from my various addictions and mental health issues. This recovery also gave me to courage to face the issues l had around my gender identity and begin the process of transitioning from female to male.
Over the years since entering recovery, I have been exploring the attic where all my dreams have been stored and one by one I have been dusting them off and bringing them into the light of day. I have been sharing my story in film, via my Youtube channel where I create regular video blogs under the name Finntheinfinncible. From this has sprung opportunities to inspire and support others to make changes in their lives, though meetings and talks and now I move to sharing my personal story via the written word.
I have a new found passion for life and a love of climbing out of my comfort zone to explore new depths of myself, and so I can also be found sharing video and writing about various adventures from cuddle parties, to walking missions.
I am currently studying for a degree in Psychology with the open University, alongside I volunteer in the LGBTQ+ community, doing support work, drug and alcohol outreach work and public speaking around transgender issues.
