For those of us who have mental health challenges, winter can often be a tough time. The cold, the grey days, and the lack of sunlight, in general, can play havoc with our mental health. Christmas approaching can often bring a lot of additional stress and pressure. And of course this year we have the coronavirus pandemic complicating this even further. In this blog, I will share some of the strategies and tools* I am using to survive the double hit of winter and the pandemic.

We are living in one of the most worrying and uncertain times of our lives. By taking time out to find appreciation, for even the seemingly smallest thing in our lives, it can help to lift our spirits and take care of our mental wellbeing.
I have been desperately trying to write something for days now. I have an essay to finish and a manuscript to write but I cannot seem to motivate myself to do it. As for my blog, there is so much to write about with the pandemic affecting everyone’s mental health. But, whenever I sit down to write, none of the words that come out seem significant enough to put together.
