One minute it was months away, and now my memoir, Top to Bottom, is published and in the world for folks to read! I am still in a state of very happy shock! In this blog, I will give you all the details you need, about book events, where you can get signed books, and how you can access virtual signing events too. Exciting!

In Person Book Launch Events and Covid
Although covid restrictions in the UK have started to lift, there are still limitations in place, in terms of masks and the number of people in shops. This is going to make it complicated to do any book events in book shops.
Alongside, my social anxiety has taken a knock during the pandemic, Chris and I have been in lockdown because of his health so haven’t seen anybody for months in the real world. I am not ready to go fully into the world yet, I need time. I would already be anxious at book events, and adding the other restrictions is going to cause more anxiety.
For both these reasons, I have decided for now that there will be no in-person book events, there maybe later in the year, but for now, all book launch events will be online.
The Benefits of Online Book Events
I am of course sad about this and a bit cross with the Rona raining on my book parade, but actually, I can see a lot of benefits to online events. I have FinnFam members all over the world, and so this way more of you will be able to attend the book events that I am planning
My Personal Book Launch Events
I am organizing some book events myself over Zoom. Tickets for these will be available via my Ko-fi shop. The book launch events are free to attend. You are of course welcome to donate should you wish.
In these events, I will talk about the background of the book, read a section for you, and leave plenty of time for questions
I will also give all attendees a 25% off voucher if you buy the book directly through my publisher Jessica Kingsley Publishers

There will of course be other online events held by people other than me.

How to Buy Signed Copies of ‘Top to Bottom’ – Coming Soon!
Lots of people have requested signed books and I am very happy to do that for you. I will be selling signed copies through my Kofi page, everything around the book will be via this page so do follow me there to get notifications.
I am still waiting for books to arrive, and once they do I will add them to my shop and let you know.
A Note on Costs for Posting Overseas
It is worth noting that posting books outside the UK is not cheap. I am happy to do it, but do please bear in mind, that if you are not in the UK, it may be cheaper for you to buy a copy from your local/online bookshop
Other Signed Goodies – Personalised Signed Stickers and Bookmarks
I am also selling signed stickers and bookmarks for those who have already brought a copy of the book but still want something signed. This is another great way to have something signed from me if you are outside the UK as it is a far more reasonable price to post these. I thought it would be a nice addition, a bit of a sign of the times, to have me post out my signature for you to stick in your books, or on the back of your eBook reader!
Virtual Signing Events – Meet With Me Online!
I have 2 options when you purchase a sticker or bookmark, these options will also be available for signed books once they are added to the store
1) Email Signing
Find the item you want in my Kofi shop, choose variant 1 for email signing, and then after payment, email me to let me know the name you would like the book signed to. I will then sign it and post it to you.
2) Virtual Signing
I wanted to try to create the experience we would have in a bookshop, where l sign things for you. So l am organising virtual signing events.
Find the item you want in my Kofi shop, choose variant 2 for virtual signing, and then after payment, you get a link to my online calendar to book a time slot. I will then meet you on Zoom for a brief chat and to sign your item
I will be doing virtual signing events in small batches to keep it manageable and will make sure to change the times around for those not in the UK.
I am hoping this all goes to plan, but please do bear with me, especially in the first run of this as I iron out any kinks that show up! If you have any problems or suggestions, please do not hesitate to pop me a message.

I am so proud of this book. I believe passionately that this book will help so many trans people exploring and going through lower surgery. There are so few books that talk about first-hand accounts of phalloplasty. This was what was lacking when I went through my surgery and my mission has been to create the kind of content, I wished I’d had access to.
